Net of Thorns

Net of Thorns

cantrip Conjuration

Summoning the essence of nature’s binding wrath, you conjure a net of thorny vines that bursts from the ground beneath a creature you can see within range. The target must succeed on a Strength saving throw or be restrained by the entangling thorns until the end of its next turn.

While restrained by the vines, the creature takes 1d4 piercing damage. A creature restrained by the vines can use its action to make a Strength check against your spell save DC, breaking free on a success.

Net of Thorns is a testament to the druid’s ability to control the battlefield, manipulating the very earth to detain foes with a painful, prickling grip that not only hinders movement but also inflicts damage, embodying the perilous side of nature’s beauty.

The spell’s initial damage increases by 1d4 when you reach 5th level (2d4), 11th level (3d4), and 17th level (4d4), as the net grows denser and the thorns become more numerous and sharp.
