By invoking the sacred laws of combat, you challenge a creature within range to a duel that transcends the chaos of the battlefield. The target must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw or be magically compelled to engage you in combat, focusing its attacks solely on you. While the spell lasts, the target is drawn to you, unable to willingly attack others or cast spells that don’t include you as a target.

If the target attempts to move more than 30 feet away from you, it must make a Wisdom saving throw at the end of its turn. On a failed save, it cannot move and you have advantage on your next attack against the target. On a successful save, the target is free to make any movement available to it.

The compulsion ends if you attack or cast a harmful spell on another creature, or if an ally of yours harms the target or casts a harmful spell on it. The spell also ends if you or the target are knocked unconscious or if you end your turn more than 30 feet away from the target.

Challenge of Honor embodies the paladin’s ability to isolate foes and dictate the flow of battle, ensuring that engagements are fought on honorable terms, with foes facing them directly in combat rather than threatening the innocent or vulnerable.
