Drow Elf

Drow Elf

Drow, also known as Dark Elves, are a subterranean and mysterious subrace of elves with a complex society and a strong affinity for the shadowy arts. Their dark complexion and silver hair set them apart from their surface-dwelling kin. Drow are masters of deception and subterfuge, skilled in stealth and assassination.

Drow society is often dominated by powerful matriarchal houses, where political intrigue and power struggles are common. Their worship of dark deities, particularly Lolth, the Spider Queen, influences their culture and actions.

Exceptional in the use of magic, Drow have a unique racial ability to cast the darkness spell and possess innate spell resistance. Their exceptional agility and proficiency with ranged weapons, especially hand crossbows, make them formidable adversaries.

Drow’s enigmatic and complex nature makes them both alluring and fearsome, representing a blend of beauty and darkness that captivates the imaginations of those who encounter them.

Although elves reach physical maturity at about the same age as humans, the elven understanding of adulthood goes beyond physical growth to encompass worldly experience. An elf typically claims adulthood and an adult name around the age of 100 and can live to be 750 years old.

While many Drow follow the path of darkness and cruelty, some break away from their oppressive society to seek redemption and a different path in the world above.
