A Drider is a monstrous creature that combines the upper body of a drow, an evil subterranean elf, with the lower body of a giant spider. It is the result of a drow undergoing a dark and twisted transformation, typically as a punishment or curse inflicted upon them.

The upper half of a Drider resembles that of a drow, with a dark complexion and white hair. They possess the sharp features and pointed ears characteristic of their elven heritage. Their eyes, however, gleam with a malevolent red or violet glow, reflecting their corrupted nature. The lower half of their body is that of a monstrous spider, with multiple long, hairy legs and a venomous stinger.

Drider society is typically isolated and reclusive, dwelling in the depths of the Underdark, the vast network of underground caverns and tunnels. They are often seen as outcasts, rejected by both their drow kin and the surface world. Despite their exile, Driders possess formidable combat abilities, blending the agility and dexterity of a drow with the predatory instincts and deadly attacks of a spider.

They are skilled archers, adept at weaving complex webs to ensnare their foes or create traps in their lairs. Their venomous stingers can paralyze or kill their victims, making them formidable adversaries in combat.

Encountering a Drider is a daunting and dangerous experience, as they are cunning and relentless in their pursuit of prey. They are known for their viciousness and their willingness to employ their deadly skills to eliminate any threats they encounter.
