Veil of Shadows

Veil of Shadows

Prerequisite: Ability to cast at least one illusion spell

You have refined your mastery of illusion magic to such an extent that the boundary between reality and illusion blurs for your enemies. You gain the following benefits:

  • When you cast an illusion spell, enemies have disadvantage on their saving throws to disbelieve it for the first round.
  • As a bonus action, you can make yourself appear as though you've teleported up to 30 feet to an unoccupied space that you can see. You don't actually move; this is an illusion. Anyone who interacts with the space you seemed to teleport to can make an Intelligence (Investigation) check against your spell save DC to recognize the illusion.
  • Once per long rest, you can imbue an illusion spell with an aura of authenticity, making it impossible to disbelieve for 1 round. This feature doesn't work on spells higher than 3rd level.

This feat would be especially useful for spellcasters who specialize in illusion magic or deception.
