Fortunate One

Fortunate One

Some call it luck, others divine favor, but whatever it is, you seem to have more than your fair share. You've always had an uncanny ability to escape perilous situations unscathed. You gain the following benefits:

  • When you roll a 1 on an attack roll, ability check, or saving throw, you can reroll the die. You must use the new result, even if it is another 1.
  • Once per long rest, if you fail an ability check, you can choose to succeed instead.
  • When a creature you can see attacks you, you can use your reaction to impose disadvantage on the attack roll. You can choose to use this ability after the roll but before the outcome is determined. You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Wisdom modifier (minimum of once), and you regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.

Whether it's avoiding traps or turning a failure into a miraculous success, your good fortune is a constant source of wonder to your friends and frustration to your foes.
