Yes. There is a Free Player tier that allows you to create a player character and join parties and campaigns.

Log into your account and visit your Dashboard, then choose Account. Under Subscriptions you will see the option to Upgrade if you are eligible.

Log into your account and visit your Dashboard, then choose Account. Under Subscriptions you will see the option to Cancel your subscription. Upon cancellation, the user’s subscription will remain active until the end of the current billing cycle. Access to premium features will continue until this time. To avoid charges for the next billing cycle, users must cancel their subscription at least 24 hours before the current subscription period ends.

If you have forgotten your password, you can visit the Forgot Password page to have Game Squire send you a link to reset your password.

If you are logged in and would like to update your password from your Account, visit your Dashboard, then choose Account. You will see the link for Update Password at the bottom of the page.

Yes, you can. Visit your Dashboard and click Profile. You have the ability to add a custom avatar or remove your avatar. By default, Game Squire uses the gravatar system to assign a default avatar.

Game Squire has wizards and extensive user documentation that will assist you in any aspect of creating and managing your content.

While Wizards of the Coast released a large amount of content in the SRD, under the Creative Commons license, they did not release everything that is in their books. Game Squire is a platform that allows you to use all of the materials in the SRD (basic rules) and create new monsters, spells, classes, races, weapons, and more. Plus, we’re adding more exclusive content all the time.

No. That would violate our Terms and Conditions and be grounds for terminating your account. While Game Squire is here for you to create an infinite variety of new content to enrich your game, we do not allow you to violate copyright laws and plagiarise content that game developers spent years and tremendous resources developing. Please be respectful of all their hard work and know that plagiarizing will not be tolerated.

You do. Anything you create here on Game Squire is yours. You are free to do with it as you wish. Currently, characters can be exported and we’ll be adding export capabilities for all other content types over time. You do not own other people’s content, however, and cannot use someone else’s content without their permission.

Yes. By default, your content is shared with your party members. Some content can be hidden from your party if you explicitly mark it as private.

You can also mark content as “Shared”, which allows anyone to view it. When content is shared, elements of that content marked as hidden will be hidden from everyone but you.

You do. Any content you make on Game Squire belongs to you. If you write a 12-page backstory for your character and decide to option it as a movie, that’s fine, it’s yours. Even if AI helped you make it.

A little trickier. Currently, US copyright law says that images generated solely by a machine cannot be copyrighted. What this means in practice is that Game Squire does not own a copyright on the image but neither, technically, do you. You are free to do what you’d like with the image but you may not be able to assert exclusive control over it. Copyright law may change in the near future, though, as laws try to catch up to a fast moving technology.

If you have permission from the copyright holder to do so, then yes. Otherwise, this would violate our Terms and be grounds for terminating your account.

Yes, you can. Content you create can be used by you in any way you choose. You cannot, however, use content you did not create, such as that created by Game Squire or other users.

Yes, the AI models used in Game Squire are periodically updated and improved based on user interactions, feedback, and advancements in AI research. These updates aim to enhance content quality, creativity, and user experience on the platform.

AI features on Game Squire are accessible to any user with the appropriate number of tokens through the content creation and editing tools. Users that have a Player Plus or Game Master account will receive a monthly allotment of Game Squire tokens, while free users are given a limited number of tokens on signup.

Users have the option to customize AI-generated content to some extent, such as setting a tone, adding to prompts, choosing story directions, or specifying character traits. This allows players to influence the type of content AI produces, tailoring the content to their preferences.

Square images (1024 px x 1024 px) use 4 tokens. Wide images (1792 px x 1024 px) use 8 tokens.

To explain token usage for text, it’s important to understand the two ways we refer to tokens: AI Tokens (used by the system) and Game Squire Tokens (used by you).

AI tokens are like pieces of a puzzle, each representing a small chunk of text. Typically, a short word uses one or two AI tokens. The more text you input or request to generate, the more tokens are used. Tokens are counted in the query (which you don’t see) and in the answer (which is what you see).

Think of it as a way to measure how much content is being processed. In Game Squire, each Game Squire token is equivalent to 1,000 AI tokens. This means when you use a Game Squire token, it allows you to process text equivalent to what 1,000 AI tokens would handle. You can think of it as a larger chunk of your text being covered with each Game Squire token, making it easier to manage and keep track of your usage.

With this in mind, 1 Game Squire token would be equivalent to about 780 words. 200 tokens would be equivalent to ~156,000 words (about two novels).
